European Summer Update: July 3rd – July 14th

 

TC Management (TCM) started the second half of the European Circuit on July 3rd with the Diamond League Meeting in Lausanne (July 3rd). In the Men’s 400m Hurdles, Felix Sanchez, Ran a season best 49.08 to finish 4th. In the Men’s 100m Mike Rodgers ran 9.98 for 3rd in the non-Diamond League race.

The next stop for TCM Athletes was Diamond League: Paris (July 5th). The Paris Areva meeting led to another season best for Felix Sanchez in the 400m hurdles. Sanchez ran 48.91 was good enough to take 4th. Natasha Hastings made her return to Europe with a 51.74 in the Women’s 400m for 6th. Mike Rodgers claimed victory in the Men’s 100m in 10.00. This is Rodgers 6th sub 10.10 of the season.

Padova, Italy (July 6th)  was the next stop. It saw the first European races of both Mike Berry and Sean McLean‘s careers. Mike Berry won his first European Race in 45.70 over 400m. Sean McLean had a difficult opener and finished 5th in 10.49 for 100m. Candice Price finished 2nd in the Women’s 100m Hurdles with 13.23.

TCM headed to Montreuil, France on July 7th. Omo Osaghae opened his European season with a top 5 finish in 13.51 over the 110m Hurdles. Natasha Hastings captured 3rd in the Women’s 400m in 52.11. Wesley Vazquez won the Men’s 800m in 1:45.60. Mike Rodgers did not race due to lower back tightness.

July 8th had TC Management in Budapest. The meet was marred with strong headwinds for most races. Two hurdles raced in Budapest, Candice Price and Omo Osaghae. Price ran both the 100m and the 100m hurdles back to back. She finished the 100m in 12.27 (-2.6 m/s ) and came back to run 13.27 (-1.3 m/s) for 6th in the hurdles. Osaghae placed 5th in the 110m Hurdles with 13.67 (-1.4 m/s).

Next TCM headed back to the Diamond League: London (Glasgow). Felix Sanchez played 4th with a time of 49.01 in the Men’s 400m Hurdles. Sean McLean sped to a top 3 finish in the Men’s 100m B-race in 10.29. In the Women’s 400m, Natasha Hastings ran 52.38 for 7th. In the Men’s Long Jump, Michael Hartfield leaped to 7.98 for 2nd place.

Next stop was Linz, Austria on July 15th.  The Men’s 110 hurdles had Omo Osaghae finish 2nd in 13.45 in a close race with Mikel Thomas of TTO (13.42). In the Women’s 100m Hurdles, Candice Price ran 13.06 for 5th. Mike Rodgers returned to competition after a tight back and blazed to a season best 9.92 for 2nd place. In the Men’s 400m both Michael Berry and Calvin Smith II dashed the one-lapper. Calvin Smith had a big season best with a run of 45.54 improving from his 45.92 best earlier in the season. Michael Berry place 6th with 45.69 in a very close race. Only 6 tenths of a second were between 1st and 6th. In the Men’s Long Jump Michael Hartfield leaped to a personal best 8.15m for 2nd place behind Will Claye’s 8.19m.
